Prize Winners at the 2014 SCASL Conference

The South Carolina Association of School Librarians (SCASL) gathered in Columbia last week for its 39th annual conference with a theme of Leadership @ Your Library.   The SCASL conference provided many opportunities for professional growth, networking, and reflection on the role of school librarians in South Carolina.  Discus – South Carolina’s Virtual Library and the State Library were represented in the exhibit hall and in the sessions.

As in the past, the Discus program asked for feedback from educators about the impact and use of the statewide electronic resources at their schools.   Those who provided feedback were eligible for small prizes.  Congratulations to these lucky winners!

  • Kriss Kirkindoll of the School District of Greenville County
  • Dana Whelchel of the School District of Pickens County
  • Kathleen DuRant of the Sumter School District

Feedback about the Discus program is always welcomed and can be submitted to DiscusOffice@statelibrary.sc.gov.
